At the board meeting on 25 November, the NOx Fund considered new applications for investment support. The projects are expected to reduce emissions by approximately 424 tonnes of NOx and around 1,759 tonnes of CO₂ equivalents per year.

Distribution of approved support by sector:

• Oil and gas: 2 projects – NOK 103.36 million in support and 646 tonnes of NOx reduction

• Shipping: 1 project – NOK 3.2 million in support and 8 tonnes of NOx reduction

• Fisheries: 1 project – NOK 960,000 in support and 1.6 tonnes of NOx reduction

Total support commitments since 2018

From 2018 to November 2025, the Fund has disbursed NOK 6,804 million in support for completed measures. The NOx reduction achieved over the same period amounts to 20,200 tonnes. A total of NOK 4,908 million in commitments has been granted for future projects.

Overall, measures supported by the NOx Fund contribute to reducing Norway’s annual greenhouse gas emissions by 2.4 million tonnes of CO₂ compared with the projected baseline. Around half of these emission reductions have already been realised. For comparison, Norway’s total emissions in 2024 were 45 million tonnes of CO₂ equivalents, meaning that the Fund’s measures alone account for roughly a 5% reduction.
