    The payment rates for the NOx Fund in 2024 will be 11.5 and 17.5 NOK/kg.

    The payment rates for the NOx Fund increase from 17 NOK to 17.50 NOK per kg of NOx emissions for petroleum activities on the continental shelf. For other activities covered by the NOx tax, it increases from 11 NOK to 11.50 NOK per kg of NOx. This represents an increase of 0.50 NOK for all industries. The increase takes effect from the first reporting quarter of 2024.

    For comparison, the NOx tax for 2024 in the budget is proposed to be 25.50 NOK/kg.

    The increase is necessary to finance the support programs of the NOx Fund.
