The NOx Fund commit to support NOK 188 million in new projects

The NOx Fund has approved support for 10 new NOx-reducing measures in the last application round in 2022. Altogether, the projects provide an estimated NOx reduction of 730 tonnes and a support amount of approx. NOK 188 million.

At the board meeting on 6 December, 12 applications were processed, and 10 projects were promised support. Five of these applications involve fleet renewal, two applications relate to energy efficiency measures, and three applications involve SCR technology.

Projects that have been granted support distributed by industry:

  • Oil and gas got granted support for one energy efficiency project and one SCR project which will provide a total NOx reduction of 452 tonnes.
  • Land-based industry got granted support for an energy efficiency project which will provide a NOx reduction of 100 tonnes.
  • Shipping got granted support for five fleet renewals and one SCR project. In total, this will give an estimated NOx reduction of 158 tonnes.
  • Fishing industry got granted support for one SCR project which will provide a NOx reduction of 20 tonnes.

Overall overview of the NOx Agreement 2018-2025:

The NOx Fund has so far processed 575 applications in the NOx Agreement 2018-2025. Of these, 159 have now been fully verified. It is included in the figures that 141 applications have been withdrawn, and 74 applications have been rejected. The rest which have been promised support are under verification.
